Lets start with a great big Thank You to Left-handed Quilter (Kitty) and Linda J :)
I am so excited!!! Finally, I am no longer a no-reply blogger. I had tried everything under the sun (well that LHQ and I could think of anyway) and no luck.
Lucky for me there are some wonderful people willing to help out a blogging buddy :)
A Left-handed Quilter has been trying to help me out for awhile now and after a reply to a comment I made on her blog another lovely lady Linda J commented these helpful links to some other clever and wonderful ladies that could actually help fix the problem!

The first one is the one that I followed to fix the issue, both were helpful though!
Oh a completely un-related topic I finally finished the paper piecing block that has been giving me fits (simply because my brain does not like to reverse things... unless it deals with phone numbers and then it loves to do it just to mess with me..)
Now I just have to send it home!
Next up.... something that doesn't require so much thinking! At some point I hope to get the hang of foundation/paper piecing but for now I have a deadline to meet, so lets hope the next fabric doesn't beg me to do something quite as challenging :)
Thanks, Mallorie for the shout-out!! My pleasure to pass along LindaJ's links - she found them - not me - ;))
ReplyDeleteAs far as Foundation Paper Piecing is concerned - I do it completely backwards from most people so maybe my way would work for you. Check out my Left-Handed Quilting page/tab - I think I have FPP listed in the "Construction" section - ;))
.........And I didn't find by web search either but I think I found them a local friend's blog that addressed this very issue. I HAD had the same problem when I had gone to google+ for about 5 minutes. I reverted back and got my name back on my blog and profile! But you better believe I flagged those links in case google messes with the system again!!
ReplyDeleteGlad that helped the communications, Mallorie, as LHQ said she really had to jump through hoops for you to get in contact. I was hoping she could pass them on in case you didn't check back for followup comments.
If you are a leftie, I am sure that LHQ can help you out. I personally love doing it but have had years of practice. Mind you, I can still mess up. I had to make a couple of teeny log cabin blocks for a guild project the other day and the lines were so close together that I sew on a line two away from where it should have been!
My FPP method is not just for Lefties - RH can use it, too - it's just backwards from the way most people do it - check it out - ;))
